The New iRvier MP3 Player
The new iRvier MP3 player is a new portable MP3 player put out by the HP computer company. I hadnt really read much about this player until today when a friend of mine was talking to me about buying a an MP3 jukebox. Hes been doing lots of research on them so he can find the one that will be perfect for him.

I decided that Id help him make his decision, so I read up on the iRvier MP3 player as well. This seems to be a fantastic player with an incredible amount of features on it. Not only can you play MP3s on it, you can also read TXT files, record your own voice notes on it, and listen to the radio as well. But I had to ask him would you really use all these features?

The Pros and Cons of the iRiver
To me, the iRivier just seems to have a lot going on, maybe too much for the novice user to handle. The complicated menu system might be confusing to some beginners. If youre a more advanced computer user, this could be a really great player. From some of the research Ive done, the sound quality of this unit is supposed to be great.

The player is 20GB and is made to compete with the Jukebox Zen and the iPod. If I had the money I would most definitely pick the iPod, but theyre pretty expensive for what youre getting. Make sure you do a lot of research before you drop the money on a player. Its a big decision and you dont want to wish a month or two after purchase that you had bought something else.

Purchasing MP3 Carkits
Having an MP3 player can be a wonderful thing if you dont have a car, but people who drive a lot can also take advantage of them and their MP3 carkits. Having one of these great accessories for your personal MP3 players will allow you to hook your digital music player right into your car stereo and listen to the music that way.

Ive always thought that MP3 players are great for people who use public transportation and who walk a lot, but if youre in a car, using MP3 carkits can be useful as well. Hooking your MP3 player into your car stereo will give you access to your entire CD collection while driving. Put the player on random and you could drive cross-country without hearing the same song twice!

What if You Dont Have a Car?
If you dont have a car, you obviously dont need the car kit! A good accessory to get if you dont have a car would be to spend some money on a decent set of headphones. Ive found that the headphones included with the player when you purchase it are generally subpar and dont sound very good. The players themselves can be capable of playing crystal clear, so dont listen to them with bad headphones!

The 512MB MP3 Player
One of the advantages to having a 512MB MP3 player is that because its a flash memory based player the size of the portable MP3 player can be kept very small. This is a good thing for active people who want to use the digital MP3 player while working out, jogging, lifting weights, and doing other physical activities.

Unfortunately, because the 512MB MP3 player is only 512MB, it cant hold as many songs as some of the other units. If youre not as concerned about size as much as you are about storage on the unit, a bigger model would be perfect for you. You can get some hard drive based jukebox models that can have up to 60 GB or more of storage on them.

Whats the Happy Medium?
In my opinion the best player would be one thats a hard drive based model with around 5 GB of storage on it. This will still allow storage for many, many CDs, but will also keep the size of the unit down. This means that you wouldnt need a large hard drive and the unit could be quite small, comparable to one of the flash memory based players.

But in the end, its really up to you and how much space you think youll need. If you really dont mind mixing up the songs on your player often, a smaller-sized player would be perfect for you. If youre like me and like to have all of your music with you at all times, a slightly larger jukebox style model would be ideal for you.

Purchase an MP3 Jukebox!
If youre like me and you love to have music with you at all times, an MP3 jukebox would be perfect for you. Depending on the size of the portable MP3 player that you buy, you could be carrying around anywhere from 100 up to 500 CDs in a single digital MP3 player! Thats a staggering amount of music to fit in your pocket!

Some people dont understand why you would want to have so many CDs loaded on an MP3 jukebox, but its just nice to have it at your disposal. Have you ever heard a song in a movie or on the radio and didnt know what it was? With a portable music player you could go through your collection to find out what it was!

Great for Everyday Use
An MP3 player is great for around the house while youre doing chores, and while doing yard work. Its also good when youre walking around town and when youre exercising. I take mine out with me every morning for a jog. I find that listening to heavy music helps me to get pumped up and keeps me motivated to keep on running.
